Cleaner Burning
Ecodesign ready stoves, such as the Mourne Collection range of stoves, have been engineered to burn wood more completely, thus reducing particulate matter. The Mourne Eco range of stoves feature targeted introduction of combustion air at higher levels in the fire box, reigniting particles of smoke before they can leave the stove.
More Efficient
As well as greatly reducing the emission of particulate matter, the Mourne Eco range of stoves are also more efficient, reducing the amount of fuel you need to use in our stoves and maximising heat output.
Quality Fuel
We always recommend using wood as your fuel source for our Mourne Eco stoves. Did you know that each tree absorbs the same amount of carbon dioxide when growing as it releases when burned. So if you source your wood locally from sustainable woodlands your Mourne Eco stove can be close to carbon-neutral.
Always be sure to look out for Woodsure's 'Ready To Burn' logo to easily identify firewood that has a moisture content of below 20%. This not only produces more heat than wet wood but also reduces air particulate matter.
